The club competes in a strong competition within the Gold Coast District.
The local leagues from Ipswich, Brisbane and the Gold Coast come
under the direction of QRL Southern Division.
The 'Reedy Creek Raptors' (as they were originally known) had been formed because of the huge population growth in the Robina area on the Gold Coast and the growing popularity of rugby league as a team sport.
The 'Raptor' was a member of the Jurassic Era and a large bird of prey which was known for its quick reflexes, attacking prowess and ability to strike when least expected. It had great speed and agility as it glided, swerved, ducked and weaved its way around anything that tried to come near it!!! And so the 'Raptor' was adopted as the symbol of the club.
2006 - 2009
The 'Raptors' moved to their new grounds at Robina on the corner of Cheltenham Drive and Robina Town Centre Drive after spending a year at the Varsity College Junior Campus as their home ground. The ground at Varsity College was not up to competition standard so no games could be played there which meant the teams had a lot of travelling to do in that first season. The move resulted in the club expanding in players.
2004 - 2005
The 'Raptors' inaugural meeting and club formation transpired on the 20th of October 2004 with Troy Morton, Glen Bayliss, Gavin Judd, Glen Bennett, John Rutland, Bart Thurlow, Lee Wilkinson, Don Oxenham, Wanda Whitley, Greg Betts, Peter McLean, Donna-Marie Wilson, Graham Tonkin, Dennis Dobe and Ian Avery all attending and the starting of the appointment committee proceeded. Enter Bayberry Lane. At the end of the street turn right at the roundabout (Robina Hospital A & E is on your left), then 1st left into Station Reserve car park. At the end of the carpark you will see the entrance to our club.
